After 5 Months

It's been 5 months since I've last updated my blog here. It's just so hard coming here and still update after I went through with my separation from my husband. Yes, that's the update from me. It's a private matter that's why I'd rather keep it private for the sake of my daughter. Though this separation caused too much pain from me and my family, I am struggling to live my life one day at a time and I am still hopeful and positive that I can overcome all trials that would still come my way. I have my God, my family and my oh so sweet daughter behind my back so I've got nothing to worry.

I've decided to change the title of my blog since this is more appropriate now but unfortunately I cannot change the url of my blog. It's permanent and I cannot do anything about it...sigh...

La Traviesa Resort

As I've promised I'm gonna post me and Hannah's pic at our swimming last week at La Traviesa Resort in Gen. Trias Cavite. Hannah enjoyed swimming so much but I didn't enjoyed much mainly because I have to look for Hannah and had no choice but to stick on the kiddie swimming pool :( Their adult swimming pool looks good and clean and the swimming pool has a lukewarm water which makes it even better to swim.

We left the resort at around 9PM and arrived home at 10:30PM! There was a heavy traffic at Langkaan coz it turned out it was the town fiesta at that time! Wooh, talk about wrong timing!

Summer Getaway

Wooh! It's been really hot for a couple of weeks now and seriously, I just wanna dip on the pool everyday to escape all the heat that I experience every single oment of the day! We actually had our swimming last March but I still wanna bring Hannah to a swimming pool for her to enjoy her summer. So when my co-workers decided to have a summer getaway at a swimming resort here in Cavite next week, Apr.24, I grabbed the opportunity to go with them. I'll post some pics(I'll try...) next time... bye!

so how are you all doin'? well as for me and hannah, we're just fine especially hannah which by the way will start her summer class this april! i'm one excited mom! can't wait after holy week coz apr.5 will be the start of their class. incidentally, adriel, her cousin, will join her in the class.

as for this blog, i am not completely closing it coz i still hope i'd still get a job and earn money on blogging. i still have a pr2 here so i don't wanna waste my page rank, though i don't get much tasks as before. wonder what happened?

anyway, i am planning to continue my studies this coming school year. i hope i'd get a slot on the scholarship that my company is offering... fingers crossed!

The holiday season is now fast approaching and now I can't wait for our holiday vacation which is almost a month to go! What I really like about this coming vacation is that I get to spend quality time with my family, just relax, eat and cook for them and most of all watch TV all day! I'm a certified TV addict so I won't last a day without waching TV. I really wish we get to subscribe to Direct TV as it got more sports, movies and news channels. Adding to that, the quality of the sound and picture is superb which makes your tv viewing with your family more enjoyable. And for every type of viewer there's also different types of packages offered at Directv which would suit your budget. So no worries if you have a limited budget because there's always an appropriate package for you and your family.

Now if you are thinking of moving on another state, you need not to worry as Direct TV is most of the time available in your area. Take for example with my sister which is in the US right now. I basically created this blog mainly to chronicle my life as a mom, wife, friend, co-worker and as a family member. Little did I know that I could make extra money being paid to blog. Essential Baby Carriers and Strollers

For a mom like me, there are cetain baby stuffs that my baby should have so choosing what's best and how essential it is, is especially important when buying one. When Hannah was less than a year old, my sister gave me a baby carrier which was particularly helpful when I have to do other activities or errands inside the house and I don’t have someone to keep an eye on her. When she turned 6 months, we bought her a baby walker so she can make a progress on learning how to walk. When it is mealtime, we now put her on a booster seat so she could have her own place to eat.

Now that she's a toddler, I already use a stroller. When me and my family are going to the mall or have an out of town trip, it is very helpful if we carry a full-featured stroller since it has more storage for my babies' things and can carry her cups and has trays to put on her toys or foods. But when we have 2 or more kids, we always bring our tandem stroller which is a lot of help to us adults! Sometimes it is very hard to catch the kids running so we have to put them on a stroller and it works wonder since not only do we keep an eye on them, they also can rest and sleep while we adults enjoy our shopping. But if I'm only with my daughter and I will just go out and bring her to my friends, I just carry a lightweight stroller since we will just go out on a few minutes or hours. Now I'm thinking of buying a jogging stroller since I've been planning to run and exercise inside the neighborhood in the morning. I'm thinking it would be fun if I bring her on my morning run so she could also have a little sun on her.

It's The Merry Month Of September!

It's now the BER month which is the start of the holiday season in the Philippines! It only means that the holiday season is just around the corner and we won't notice how quickly the time passes by till Christmas itself is already being celebrated.

I must admit that 2009 is not really a good year for me but I am still looking forward on celebrating the holidays with my family especially Hannah. My family is undergoing a major problem right now which I won't discuss here as it is too personal but with God's good mercy I am positive that we will be able to overcome all the trials we are facing right now.

So eventhough a part of my personal life is under crisis, I still see the coming months as happy and joyful mainly because I am with my daughter whom I love so much!

Hey guys! How are you all doing? I was very busy with a lot of things like finishing Hannah's photobook, taking opps which I was very glad on doing and of course taking care of Hannah if I don't have to work. Last night, we went at Sitcom Live at Las Pinas and we enjoyed it there! I went with my friend from London, her husband and son and with my sister.

Speaking of my sister, I haven't blogged much about her youngest kid which is Dana, she's only 5 months old but a very big baby! I can't always help but squeeze her cute chubby cheeks which always makes her cry! I can't wait for her and Hannah to grow up so they can be playmates. Look how cute she is!

We’ve been wanting to buy a car for awhile now but with so many brands manufactured nowadays, it’s very hard to choose from so many types of cars available. Sleepless Nights

I am having an almost sleepless nights thinking of Hannah's first birthday this July coz I am the only one planning it all from her cake, balloons, venue, invitations, etc... It sometimes become so overwhelming that I want to take a break and relax. Anyway, my preparations are almost complete since I only lack invitations and tarpaulin. I already had the layout for both and it only needs to be printed. I hope I could stick with my planned budget since I won't have extra money to spend on other not so important things.

It's been raining for awhile here and it's really making me feel lazy to come to work and just be with Hannah. It will be only a month or so before my baby's 1st birthday and time and again, I always say that I'm pretty much excited with her party.

I'm just worried this coming Sunday coz we have an appointment at The Picture Company for Hannah's birthday photoshoot and the rain hasn't stoppd this past few days. I really hoped that this coming Sunday it won't rain so that I can bring Hannah to MOA and have her birthday picture taken.

Family Outing

We just had our family outing last Apr.15 at Villa Luz Resort at Silang Cavite. We all enjoyed our overnight stay at the resort. It was special to me in the sense that it was the first time that I took Hannah for a swim. She didn't enjoyed it the first time but on the second day she kinda liked it already.

Anyway, it was really hot in here right now! I really hope this summer period in the Philippines would soon end. It was specially hard for me sleeping coz I couldn't stop from sweating! I really think I need to diet already coz I feel that I gained a lot of pounds... but what can I do? I love to eat! ha ha!!!

It's Summertime!

Whooh! I really can't understand the weather here in the Philippines? During daytime, it's very hot that you don't want to go out but staying in the house is really not an option too coz what else? IT IS also very hot! But come nighttime, you can already feel the cold breeze coming inside the house. I now have a peaceful sleep for several days because of this.

Now, for the past few days, there has been some slight rain to think that it is already summer! Not that i'm complaining though! I just wish that before summer ends, I will be able to bring Hannah to the beach or swimming pool so that she could use her swimsuit and enjoy the sun(minus the heat or even the rain). Just right amount of sun will do(like no sun at all?). HA HA.. how I wish!

hey! there really was not much to update except... my baby's getting bigger and bigger! she's almost 9 months now and she's the most important person in my life! i love her to death... my life's undergoing a major turnaround which obviously the reason why i haven't much updated here. i'm just keep on praying that i would somehow overcome this trials. i really can't explain or talk about it here coz it's too personal.

Deception Destroys Trust in Marriage

When it comes to deception, it takes very little to violate trust.

Trust is a critical requirement for any relationship. Think about it. We learn we can trust someone, and share our lives with them, because they do what they say they are going to do. We learn to trust someone because they say what they mean and mean what they say. They are trustworthy.

Trust is the foundation that holds a marriage up. I tell you what is important to me and what I expect from you. If you agree to honor and respect what is important to me, I will trust you with my feelings and thoughts. If you dishonor me by violating an agreement, by deceiving me, we’re going to have serious problems. If you make amends for your betrayal, I might, if I determine you to be trustworthy, slowly begin to trust you again. If you don’t seem to understand the importance of honoring an agreement, and the importance of protecting my trust in you, we cannot have a relationship.

The issue of deception seems to come up again and again in emails sent to me. I receive many inquiries regarding how to deal with someone who is untrustworthy, noting the aggravation they feel when this occurs. A recent email illustrates this problem.

Dear Dr. David,

My question is "What are the factors that lead to continual lying--especially with regards to money?” My husband continually lies about having other accounts, but requires that I divulge everything that I have. This is the third occasion that I have found that he either has a savings plan somewhere or a savings account somewhere that I was not told about. When confronted he'll lie right up until I show a print out and then finally say that he's the head of the home and his responsibility is to ensure that we have funds, but then why if we are currently financially strapped are you still not divulging the fact that you have money that can be used? Am I just here being used or is this an insecurity issue and if so, how are you adequately providing for me if it seems that you are only looking out for yourself at my expense?

Let’s summarize her question.

First, someone lies because they have something to hide. This man clearly doesn’t want his wife to know about the hidden accounts of money. He lies to protect his interests, and seems to care little about her feelings in the matter. His actions are selfish and destructive.

Second, someone lies because they feel they can—it works for them. Liars believe they will get away with telling a lie. They believe they won’t get caught, and so will continue to lie until they discover that this is not working for them. In this case, it appears the man has a habit of lying and that his wife has enabled him to continue lying. She has not set a firm boundary on this behavior, or said his behavior is intolerable.

Third, someone lies because they believe they have a right to lie. In this case, this man feels he is entitled to keep financial information away from his wife. He justifies his lying because he is “the head of the home,” and it is his responsibility to manage the money—though it appears he is doing a poor job of it.

Finally, habitual liars lie because of serious character problems. I’ve discussed the “crazymaking” qualities of liars in my book, Dealing With the CrazyMakers in Your Life. Liars often have a deficit of conscience, as well as “thinking errors,” which allows them to justify their behavior and even manipulate the problem so that they are somehow the victim. Liars turn the tables on others, making themselves look “good” and others look “bad.” They resist being held accountable for their behavior.

So, what is this woman to do? She needs to be wise, taking great care to not get pulled into his crazymaking. She must not get “hooked” into defending herself or allowing him to explain away his behavior. Deception is wrong!

She will need to insist on counseling to address these issues. Deception is inappropriate and damages trust and respect and has no place in a marriage. She must insist the deception stop, and he must take responsibility for it. He must understand the damage it does to their relationship. Finally, he must change his attitudes that lead to and support the dishonesty. This will happen only if she insists on change.

from cold to hot? yes that's what we've been experiencing about the weather here in cavite! 2 weeks of cold weather and now this is what we get? i thought i would be happy for another month or so but i was wrong coz now i'm feeling the heat. just this morning after i took a shower, about 5 minutes after i left the bathroom i was already sweating! can you imagine that? i never experienced that the whole month of december! hay, this certainly means that the summer is really fast approaching. well that doesn't mean that i am all sad that's it's not cold anymore, actually i'm also happy coz Hannah my baby will get to swim and experience the summer! isn't that exciting? well yeah but i'm more excited on her upcoming birthday on July!

...hubby not being with us during this holiday season. I must admit that everyday I spend with my baby really makes me happy although at times I wish hubby's with us to share this wonderful moment of Hannah growing up. I didn't realize that it would be hard, especially now that Christmas and New Year is fast approaching, to spend this holiday season with a missing member of the family. I honestly haven't realized it before, when my hubby left to work as a seaman, it's been 4 years(including now) that we haven't spent the holidays together. Fo me, although I missed him a lot, it was fine with me coz I am with my family but now that we have Hannah, I feel sad for the kid not spending her first Christmas and New Year with her father. But I know that this won't be forever so I am looking forward for our First Holidays as a family... I hope it would be soon...

4 year anniversary

Yesterday, me and my husband celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Just 4 years ago, we were both dreaming of a happy married life and I can say that it sure has so many ups and downs. I am just glad that Hannah came into our life at a perfect moment coz she surely changed my and my husband's life.

Four years ago, I must admit that I was really scared facing life as a married woman. I didn't know if I could take care of my husband or if I could be a good wife. I am not perfect, I do have my own imperfections but I am striving everyday to become a better person, wife and mother all rolled into one. Up to now me and my husband still argue a lot but unlike before I do listen to him now more often. I learned that listening to your spouse is one of the keys to a successful marriage.

I really hope we could stay married forever but let's face it, trials and temptations are just around the corner so I'm counting our strong faith in God that would hold us together despite all this trials. And of course, there's little Hannah that serves our inspiraton to live and strive for a better future.

Yikes! I completely neglected this blog already! I don't know what's happening with me this past few days, I am just soo lazy to even visit my blogs! Anyway, there's some bad news regarding work coz we just got a memo that we won't b having a christmas party this December and that there would be a decrease on items for our christmas package. How sad! The management cited the global economic crisis happening nowadays as the reason behind all this.

Do you feel for yourself the economic crisis happening worldwide? Well, I do coz up to now I haven't gone shopping for my christmas presents to my godchildren and my family and friends unlike last year when as early as this month of November, i was already complete with all my gifts. I just don't know where can I squeeze my budget for all this christmas presents now. I have to buy first Hannah's necessities as well as mine too as well as house payment. It's just very hard, I hope we can bounce back from this crisis

Hubby and I had chat yesterday at YM and he was really happy to see Hannah on webcam. He said that Hannah looke really cute and chubby and he was also sad that he can't get to kiss and hold her. Hannah was all smiles at the cam which made him smile too! I told him that she already giggles a lot and she seems to know me very well coz the moment she hears my voice she tries to find out where I am.

We only chatted for an hour coz he needed to return to the ship although he promised to try to go out later this week so we could chat again.

Hey how are you all doin'? I didn't know what to write here so I just bypassed this blog for a couple of days coz there was just nothing to write about. Well hubby called for a couple of times last week to tell me that tonight or early tomorrow morning they will be at USA at last! It's been long that they are at sea and he can't wait for them to dock so we could chat and see me and Hannah. I will update later if it pushes through!

Call from Italy

Hubby's ship(Ruby Princess) currently docks at Italy and they were set to sail on November. So almost everyday he texts me and at least twice a week he calls to check on me and Hannah. He said that he misses me and the baby and he's still very worried about Hannah getting sick. I told him that she is ok now and she already giggles which makes him miss her more. He just recently bought a Globe prepaid card worth P500 so he wouldn't be short on load credits. He plans to call me again at a later time this day and hope that we could chat so he could see us especially Hannah whose getting chubbier each day.

Hubby just left this noon and I was so sad! What became for sad was that he left when Hannah's still sick and still coughing as of this day. We had her check-up yesterday and her pedia just gave her medicine. She also had her second dose of 6-in-1 vaccination and and when we came home she was already hot. We gave her paracetamol and mucosolvan and even if she doesn't have any fever now, she's still coughing. I am still worried up to now but I know God would continue to watch over her and she would be ok. I just hope my husband's still with me to take care of her coz it's just hard, taking care of a baby that's sick...

So we decided to make Hannah's dedication to take place on Oct.11, 2008 which was already next Saturday. We started giving away invitations for our friends and family and the one assigned to do the cooking has been settled too. We still need to rent tables, chairs and a tent. i plan to buy the cake from Red Ribbon and I want it to have an edible picture of Hannah on the middle of the cake. But the one that's been very hard to decide are the giveaways.

Up to know we haven't decided on what kind of giveways to give. I already went to SM and Robinson to look for one but can't find any. There was this store at SM where they sell a specialized keychain but t's too expensive! Imagine, one keychain costs 50pesos! So no thanks! Anyway, I hope this weekend we'll be able to find one that we really like...

I was so shocked to discover that my page rank was already 2 to think that I haven't posted much this days. I wouldn't discover my page rank if I had not visited my other blog(Baby Hannah) which by the way also now has a PR2! We went at Festival Mall yesterday and had our pic taken at Pixie Forest for only 50 pesos, where basically a machine will turn your pic into a caricature type. I don't know if it was really a caricature that turned our pic but nevertheless I had it framed. Me and my husband had a major mistake of looking at the monitor instead of the camera that's why our eyes wasn't focused right. We also had a hard time pacifying Hannah since she moved a lot! Anyway, I already displayed our pic on the wall, isn't it cute?

Hubby and I are goin' crazy over Hannah! Everyday we always look forward on feeding, bathing, taking care of her. Hubby's cellphone's memory are almost full coz he always take pictures and videos of her! Added to our constant joy is that she always smile at us and never really gives us problems. She just cry whenever she's wet or hungry otherwise she would just stare at us and look around the house. She's really a healthy girl and I thank God that she has no problems healthwise. On Sept.2o she'll have another check-up and hubby would accompany us for the first time. It's good coz he'll report for work again on Oct.15 so that means we still get to bond a little more, although in reality it's just over a month to go...

We had a major cleaning in our house today coz it's my hubby's homecoming tomorrow. I had Nora and Juliet clean especially our bedroom coz I must admit that's one area in our house that I neglected. After the cleaning, our bedroom became a complete haven and I was so happy when I first lay on our bed...ha ha ha!!! Anyway, it's been raining hard here in Cavite but it's not so cold coz I still sweat like crazy! I will definitely take another shower(my third) coz it's still very hot. A day before...

Hubby called yesterday to confirm that his flight is scheduled to depart on August 31 and he will arrive on Sept.1 at 11PM. He said that he's so excited to see Hannah for the first time and wishes for him to have a longer vacation to spend with us. Well the sad news is that he will report for duty again on Oct.15 which wll make his vacation only a month and a half.

Anyway, tomorrow's his birthday. He said his day tomorrow's just gonna be another day at work and he will try his best to call me after his duty. I hope he'll do!

Hubby's birthday is coming up at Aug.20 which is one week to go. I can still remember last year, we were able to spend his birthday with my family at Parque Espana Residences and Hotel at Alabang. Now we can't celebrate his birthday with him coz he's still at the ship. I hope he would call me on his birthday so that we can greet him on his special day.

The good news though is that he would be here when it's the time for my birthday! My birthday is on Sept.8 which is less than a month so I'm pretty excited on my coming natal day coz we'll get to spend it for the first time with Hannah.

At last! Hubby and I finally get to chat after 3 weeks of none communication. I must admit that I was really pissed on him for not calling me during those times. But now it's ok although we still need to talk when he gets back. He also saw Hannah on webcam and told me that he bought several Avent feeding bottles for her and a sterilizer. I really needed those coz as of the moment Hannah has only 4 feeding bottles and I am currently borrowing Adriel's sterilizer coz she doesn't have one.

Anyway, I only have one opps ever since I signed up for my site to earn some money through blogging. I hope the tasks will soon pile up but I'm really not hoping much coz i don't wanna get disappointed just like what happened on my other blog which I haven't had any opps for the last 5 months!

1 month to go(again)

Next month, Aug28, 2008, my hubby's coming home at last after extending his contract for another month. He was supposed to go home last July23 but according to his supervisor, he needs to work for another month coz they are short of manpower. Anyway, I'm really really excited that he'll soon meet our baby Hannah and I hope they'll get to bond a lot during his stay here. I just hope he'll get to help me with a lot of baby stuffs like changing the diapers, feeding milk, bathing her and others. coz I know some husbands who are really not cooperative with regards to that and leaving the wives to do all that stuff. Well we'll see when he comes home...

Ron hasn’t called for 1 week now and I really want to talk to him regarding our household expenses piling up and I don’t have much money left to spend for all of it. I wanted to panic but doing so won’t be much of help so I just pray that all of this would soon be resolved. Anyway he would come home this August so I hope all our bills would be settled by the time he gets home.

Anyway I had Hannah checked up by her pedia last Saturday coz she had a slight fever but her pedia assured me that she’s ok and doesn’t have a fever at all. I also let her looked at Hannah’s rashes at her forehead and again she told me that it would soon go away and no medications were given to me. In other words, I think I’m just being OA with regards to Hannah but as a mother I think anybody would agree with me that it’s best to consult her pedia at any slight indication that you think is not right with your child than be sorry in the end.

Hey guys just wanna share you the pic of my daughter Hannah. She was born last July 7, 2008 and she had her new born screening the next day and she already had vaccination for BCG and Hep B. We had her checked up at Imus Hospital with Dra. Laurie San Jose as her pediatrician.

I'm so excited to be a mom and I'm really happy with our decision to have Hannah. She's a very cute kid and she had this deepest dimples it makes you wanna go aawww...

"Frank" the Typhoon

So basically we just stayed at home coz we cannot possibly go out even to the nearby store coz of typhoon 'Frank'! It's been raining non-stop since last night and although i liked the feel of the cold weather its just depressing to look outside coz of the gloomy day. My computer's been on since this morning coz there's nothing much to do here except eat, watch tv and blog! Anyway, I'm sure I'll have a great sleep tonight just like last night but I really hope 'Frank' would leave tomorrow coz I have something important to do tomorrow and I don't wanna get soaked in the rain and I don't wanna encounter traffic, oh my goodness! I can't believe what I read on a blog about the youngest mother in the world! Can you believe that Lina Medina of Peru was only 5 years, 7 months and 21 days when she gave birth to a baby boy on May 1939? Amazing huh? She had her first period at two-and-a-half, became pregnant aged four years and eight months and that when doctors performed the Caesarean to deliver her baby, they found she already had fully mature sexual organs! You would never believe something like this could possibly happen, but a number of doctors over the years had already confirmed this by performing different kinds of tests on her.

I wish I knew the answers regarding fertility. I myself are having problems conceiving so reading something like this makes me more sad. Not that I'm envy that a 5 year old gets pregnant! I want to clarify that, of course a 5 year old should be playing with dolls and watching cartoons, my point is how could others conceive so easy while the rest are having a hard time eventhough the tests clearly shows that you don't have a problem? ... till my hubby returns home! Wow time really passes by so fast that I haven't noticed that it's been 8 months since he left to work abroad. And now by July he will come back again, I hope this time we'll be able to get our house done since it's been 2 years and up to now we still haven't made improvements of it. I really like to finally put a gate, tiles and cabinets so that we could move in. It's really been hard for us with too much bills being paid for, and I know by moving in to our house we could cut some expenses. I really, really hope that before the year ends I get to sleep on my own house and in my own bed finally!

I dont know what's happening to me, I'm so lazy nowadays be it at work or at home. I just don't wanna do anything except surf the net or watch TV. My room's a mess, I can't even fix my own bed! On my 3 days off last week, i just watched TV or DVD, sleep and surf the net. I bought a book but up to now I haven't read it yet except for the first chapter. Maybe because I'm thinking of my husband coz ever since they went to Europe his calls became seldom. I hope we get to really talk...

Anyway my C's lost! I hope they'll be able to bounce back on the next game or else they're in pretty much trouble.

Hi guys, I'm just here at home watching The Buzz, he he... I was shocked regarding Jericho and Heart's break-up! Heart said that Jericho cheated on her, ouch! But with Echo's good looks and charm who wouldn't fall for him? It's just too bad that they broke up coz they really look good together. Another showbiz break-up was that of Roxanne Ginoo and Jake Cuenca, another good looking couple but Roxanne said that there was no third party involved. If you watched the interview of Roxanne it seems that she was badly hurt of the break-up with all the crying. Hay sayang naman all these couples! Well I guess the saying that "Some good things never last..." is true...

Hey how are you guys? Nothing new about me except that I'm crazy about viewing different videos at youtube and still crazy about watching basketball(NBA). That's what I've been doing if I'm not at work or Adriel is asleep. Speaking of Adriel, every minute of the day this boy gets cuter and cuter! And he also starts being so "makulit" na which is normal coz he's being curious of his surroundings already. He also gets to be sweeter to us by hugging and kissing us or let's just say "marunong na maglambing" like what his mom says. I wanted to buy him a toothbrush coz although he's got only 3 tooths, whenever he saw me brushing my teeth he would go on tantrums if I wouldn't give him my toothbrush! Sometimes I couldn't understand kids, they just go on tantrums whenever they like. But it's cute and Adriel is so lovable I always miss him!

WD 320G Portable Hard Drive

Hubby just bought me a Western Digital portable hard drive for my laptop! It has a 320G capacity which is just perfect for the numerous pictures, movies and mp3's I wanted to store at my laptop. Now I can just safely store it all on the portable hard drive and I can still have extra memory left on my laptop. He also(finally!) bought me the laptop case I've been wanting him to buy since I don't have one and I had to safekeep the laptop on its original box the first month that I got it. I just received it from his co-worker who went home last week. Together with the case is Adriel's crocs and a knapsock which can also hold the laptop. They're also at Europe right now, the first few days at spain and now Italy. He hasn't called me up yet and I've been waiting for his call for the past week. I hope he'll finally call before Monday.

It's not that I completely forsaken this blog, it's just that there's really nothing to write anything coz it's been a routine that hubby calls me if he has time and if there's some good news about him I'll let you all know by writing here. But just to update you regarding him, his ship will soon leave the caribbean to go to a European world cruise. Wow! Now I'm really jealous! But he said he was not excited anymore like the first time he set foot on Europe coz he has been there! he he yabang noh? Anyway I told him that if they come to Italy better buy me a murano glass for our house here. But it still depends on the price, if it's too pricey then I think he has to cancel buying one. Hubby just called to inform me that he might not be able to call me for 10 long days because he's assigned at port manning. I really didn't understand what he meant by port manning except that he said that he won't be able to go out and that we won't get to chat. So I guess he will become so busy on that days. Anyway he also informed me that he's scheduled to come home on July20 not 23 as what he previously said. Wow when I thought about it, i'ts almost just 4 months to go! I really can't wait! I really missed him a lot, I'm really thankful to the Lord for everything He's provided us, I really want to always stay positive and trust Him with our life that's why although I want to give up on our quest on having a baby I always look on the brighter side and not dwell on negative thoughts. I hope in God's time He will make our ultimate wish come true!

When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school.

I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite! When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I’ll never forget what he said: “Baby, I love burned toast.”

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, “Debbie, your momma put in a hard day at work today and she’s real tired. And besides—a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!”

In bed that night, I thought about that scene at dinner…and the kindness my daddy showed my mom. To this day, it’s a cherished memory from my childhood that I’ll never forget. And it’s one that came to mind just recently when Jack and I sat down to eat dinner.

I had arrived home late…as usual…and decided we would have breakfast food for dinner. Some things never change, I suppose!

To my amazement, I found the ingredients I needed, and quickly began to cook eggs, turkey sausage, and buttered toast. Thinking I had things under control, I glanced through the mail for the day. It was only a few minutes later that I remembered that I had forgotten to take the toast out of the oven!

Now, had it been any other day -- and had we had more than two pieces of bread in the entire house -- I would have started all over. But it had been one of those days and I had just used up the last two pieces of bread. So burnt toast it was!

As I set the plate down in front of Jack, I waited for a comment about the toast. But all I got was a “Thank you!” I watched as he ate bite by bite, all the time waiting for some comment about the toast. But instead, all Jack said was, “Babe, this is great. Thanks for cooking tonight. I know you had a hard day.”

As I took a bite of my charred toast that night, I thought about my mom and dad…how burnt toast hadn’t been a deal-breaker for them. And I quietly thanked God for giving me a marriage where burnt toast wasn’t a deal-breaker either!

You know, life is full of imperfect things…and imperfect people. I’m not the best housekeeper or cook. And you might be surprised to find out that Jack isn’t the perfect husband! He likes to play his music too loud, he will always find a way to avoid yard work, and he watches far too many sports. Believe it or not, watching “Golf Academy” is not my idea of a great night at home!

But somehow in the past 37 years Jack and I have learned to accept the imperfections in each other. Over time, we have stopped trying to make each other in our own mold and have learned to celebrate our differences. You might say that we’ve learned to love each other for who we really are!

For example, I like to take my time, I’m a perfectionist, and I’m even-tempered. I tend to work too much and sleep too little. Jack, on the other hand, is disciplined, studious, an early riser, and is a marketer’s dream consumer. I count pennies and Jack could care less! Where he is strong, I am weak, and vice versa.

And while you might say that Jack and I are opposites, we’re also very much alike. I can look at him and tell you what he’s thinking. I can predict his actions before he finalizes his plans. On the other hand, he knows whether I’m troubled or not the moment I enter a room.

We share the same goals. We love the same things. And we are still best friends. We‘ve traveled through many valleys and enjoyed many mountaintops. And yet, at the same time, Jack and I must work every minute of every day to make this thing called “marriage” work!

What I’ve learned over the years is that learning to accept each other’s faults - and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences - is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting marriage relationship.

And that’s my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your married life and lay them at the feet of Jesus. Because in the end, He’s the only One who will be able to give you a marriage where burnt toast isn’t a deal-breaker!

Eleven days to go till Valentine's Day. So how will you spend it? Me I'll just work and wait for hubby to call since it's been 3 years since we last celebrated VD together. I really miss our dates on that day, I wonder kelan kaya mauulit un? I remembered during our bf-gf time he would always ask me to go to LOVAPALOOZA during VD but i always say no coz I'm really not a fan of PDA especially if there are tons of people I don't know around! I would rather spend that day watching movies or just hang out and eat at our favorite resto. I just think it's corny, I don't know for some people maybe they find it romantic but I don't. But I'm happy for others that can celebrate that special day together unlike me where I just wait for hubby's call, hu hu I'm so sad... :(

Got a call from hubby yesterday afternoon and he told me that they’re currently in the Bahamas and just taking a stroll at the mall with his co-workers. I told him that since he was already at the mall, might as well look for Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace body lotion that he could get for me coz I really like the smell of it. My brother gave me one when he came home and it just smells good! So right there and then he immediately bought me one and I was really happy! He also told me that we could chat again tomorrow afternoon so that he could see Adriel and the rest of the family. I’ll update here later if it pushes through…

At Last!

At last my hubby and I was able to chat(voice chat) at YM and I'm really happy! It was the first time for us to use voice chat and really it was way much cheaper than him calling me on my phone! He just have to pay for the internet unlike using phone cards. We also used our webcams and it's very much convenient like that. I really thank God for the internet! We chatted for like an hour and it was worth all the "puyat" I experienced coz it was already 1AM when he logged and I still have to report for work and wake up at 6AM! It's really ok although I'm sleepy now... I think I need to sleep a bit earlier and sacrifice watching my "FRIENDS" dvd which sort of become a hobby to me every night before going to bed. Haay, tomorrow I'll definitely watch it again!

Chatting Woes

I last posted here on my blog about our supposedly chat last saturday evening and i'm so sad to inform you that we didn't able to push through with our chat! he managed to logged in but i think there was a problem with the computer that he was using coz eventhough i invited him to view my cam he just couldn't see me and vise versa. we also tried using the voice chat but he said he couldn't hear me calling. i really don't know what happened, the next thing i know he already logged out. i think he was already pissed that he didn't saw me. i'm still waiting for his call coz after that he didn't called me anymore.

another problem that he's encountering right now is his Smart roaming. Up to now it's still not working eventhough i called up Smart customer service for how many times already that i couldn't keep count anymore! he said that there was no network available and the customer service representative said that he will need to put the phone on manual search which he already did! he also checked the message center number which might be the reason for his problem but the message center number is correct. i really dont know but else must we do coz clearly the people behind Smart roaming services couldn't help us anymore! that's why we couldn't text each other for almost 2 months now, i only rely on his calls which is a bit sad coz i'm so used on texting him when they're docked now i can't even text him how he was doing.

Missing My Hubby

Whenever I miss my husband I always take a look at the scrapbooks I made for us. I'm no expert on this one, but just the look on his face that he appreciates what i did makes it all worth it. So I did one scrapbook album with all the pictures of us since the start we're going out to the time we got married but I stopped for awhile since I became busy with a lot of things. Looking at it takes the stress out of me and bring back memories of our good times together back then. Of course we still have good times together but I really miss those times when we always date and watch movies together and just have a good time. Now we matured a lot since we got married, thinking of our future together, have babies and even thinking of moving to another country.

Another thing that I try to do when I miss him is to look at this cute card that he gave me together with the flowers, on my birthday almost 2 years ago. My hubby's not really the type who give flowers and most especially write or express his feelings towards me. I remembered telling him that I want to receive love letters from him but to no avail! So imagine my surprise and excitement when he handed me a bouquet of roses! I was really happy! I still kept the card and I even framed the petals of the flowers he gave me coz it's not everyday that it happens. Actually after that he never gave me flowers again, which is really ok! I mean he already pleased me by giving me one and he always compensate his lack of expertise on writing love letters with being a good and responsible husband so what more can i say?

So I wanna share with you the card that he gave me. Actually it's not a hallmark type of card, just a card which came with the flowers. The message is just simple but it really meant a lot to me!

From Barbados With Love

Got a call from hubby early in the morning from Barbados and he told me that he just finished his duty. He also told me that he entered himself on a raffle where he will place a bet to win $5000! I dont know about that but from what he always tells me i dont think he's gonna win on that one. You see he always enters himself on a raffle but always ended up losing. I think we have the same fate when it comes to raffles coz just like me I never win EVER even just minor prices.

Moving on, he also informed me that we could chat on YM tomorrow night! I'm really excited coz it's very seldom that we could do it because of his schedule. Thank God it's already my dayoff i could just sleep in the afternoon so i won't be too sleepy when we chat.
